of India.
Shinsei Mutual Fund has been sponsored by Shinsei Bank, Limited (“Shinsei Bank”
or “Bank”) which is a leading diversified Japanese financial institution providing
a full range of products and services to both institutional and individual customers.
It has a total asset base of 11.9 trillion yen (US$121 billion) on a consolidated
basis as of March 31, 2009 and is one of the most highly respected financial brands
in Japan.
Shinsei Asset Management (India) Pvt. Ltd. (“Shinsei AMC”) is the Investment Manager
to Shinsei Mutual Fund. Shinsei Bank holds a 75 per cent stake in Shinsei AMC, with
Mr. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Freedom Financial Services Private Limited holding 15
per cent and 10 per cent, respectively.
